On some point in our journey we all seek eros—the unity of experience, of knowledge. What is the right path for us? What does this arduous path gain us when all good work may be decimated in the single fell swoop of callous men? The ensō (円相), the Zen circle is imperfect and is usually never never closed. It represents the perfect imperfection of nature and the spontaneity of being.

Closing the circle is a weekly letter+podcast that fuses together the most important ideas from traditional and western societies; the traditional and the scientific; the disparate and fragmented knowledge we have of ourselves and our universe and the immutable metaphysical facts of nature. But ultimately, each episode will help you to accept who you are so that you can just be okay with you, them, this right here right now, and the irrevocable finality of being.
